Charging Port Damaged in SumUp or Stripe Tray - Replacement/Repair Purchase Links

If the Card card reader is removed and inserted incorrectly or forcibly, the charging port, which goes into the reader to charge it can get damaged. A damaged port here will impact the card reader charging and can also create a charging short resulting in the tablet not charging either.

As this is accidental damage, rather than a manufacturing fault, it is not covered by the warranty, however as our units are modular this can easily be repaired. The quickest solution is to purchase the replacement cable and fit this yourself. The cable you require depends on the model CollecTin More you have. (Support article: Which CollecTin More model do I have?)

Purchase link: Internal Y-shaped Charger Cable for £13+VAT and £9+VAT courier

UK mainland customers can also buy a Micro USB Repair here for £50+VAT, which includes shipping in both directions. We arrange collection of the whole unit, replace the damaged cable and return it to you. If you choose this option please reply to your order confirmation email after purchase with collection details (Name, phone, email, address, courier instructions, preferred date for collection) so we can arrange this for you.

Below are clear instructions on how to fit the cable, but it does require technical skills. We are not be able to cover accidental damage to the unit caused by incorrect handling during the replacement of the part.
