1. Companies
As a company wishing to purchase a CollecTin More (SumUp or Stripe) to raise funds on behalf of a charity, please follow these two steps:
Step 1
As a guide, the following types of organisations are permitted to open a Fundraiser account with Give A Little:
- Regulated charities
- Exempt charities
- Community Interest Companies
- Community Amateur Sports Clubs
- Companies that are not-for-profit (where articles of association state directors have no recourse to company funds)
- Local government bodies (e.g. a council fundraising for a community event)
- Corporates (where financial controls are established for the charitable purpose e.g. a separate bank account)
- Associations (typically with constitution detailing the charitable purpose and use of finances solely for said purpose)
If the above leaves you uncertain, please contact Give A Little (donation software provider) on hello@givealittle.co with details of who you are and how you envision raising funds for your chosen charity. They can advise if you can open an account and how this can be possible within their system. Give A Little will provide support and give advice on what works best in your context and how the accounts would need to be set up to be authorised.
Step 2
Once you have confirmation from Give A Little on how to proceed with the account setup (and that this would be authorised) you can purchase your CollecTin More. Please use the links below, which have VAT applied at check-out. HMRC approves our items as zero-rated for VAT only when they are purchased by register charities AND used for collecting donations exclusively.
2. CICs / Non Profit Organisations
Non profit organisations who are no registered charities can find detailed information in this article: Non for Profit Organisation / CIC but not Registered Charity - Can we use CollecTin More?
