Chinese Characters - Model 4G 405 / 4G A12

If Chinese characters appear on the screen then you may have activated the boot mode (it appears if you hold down volume button at the same time as the power on).

Don't worry it's very easy to fix. Just hold down the power button only for upto 15 seconds until the units powers off and then when you turn it back on it should function as normal.

Alternatively, if the below or similar menu displays on your screen, use the low volume down button to navigate to the last option (as on the photo) and select it with the power button. Your tablet will now reboot and open up the Home Screen.

If you have accidentally selected an option in the Chinese boot menu, it may be that this prevents the unit from powering off. If this happens just remove the boost battery from the handle and let the unit run flat. Once recharged and restarted it should work again as normal.
