Using Fully Single App Kiosk to Schedule Sleep and Wake Times
Depending on your requirements, you can choose to run the CollecTin More connecting to mains power:
Fixed Connection to Mains power
This should only be done via the USB cable for static installation. Use of the booster battery with the cable for this permanently attached to power will eventually cause the battery to fail and create power issues in the device.
While you can leave the CollecTin More switched on permanently for convenience of use, for hardware durability it is best to power the unit down in the evening. Powering down can either be done manually in the evening or by use of scheduled power setting.
Scheduled Power On/Off
To be used with both the Give A Little Menu lock and Fully Single App Kiosk and if you want to leave the CollecTin More running.
You can use Fully Single App Kiosk to Schedule Power for the device to automatically go to sleep and wake up at set times - for example night time and morning.
Please note that the sleep function will interact with the Give A Little Software and SumUp sign-in and changes in our partner's software or settings may impact this setting beyond our control.
Many of our customers make use this settings, and you can see if it works for you, however we cannot guarantee the functionality. The below guide explains how.
Please note that if internet connection is lost, SumUp will log you out of Give A Little as a security feature. This may result in the tablet switching on to a login page.
CollecTin More - 4G / 4G 205 / 4G A12 Tablets (November 2021 onwards)
Setting Scheduled Power
> Open Fully Single App Kiosk (> Home Screen, swipe from bottom middle upwards, select app)
> Swipe from top left corner into middle to open the menu
> Settings
> Power Settings
> Schedule Wakeup and Sleep (PLUS)
> After setting this, use the back arrow by pressing the little triangle on the left on the bar at the bottom when you tap the screen to navigate back to the starting page with "Fully Single App Kiosk" at the top
> Take note of your PIN
> Start Kiosk Mode (complete activation of Kiosk Mode)
If you wish to have your campaign page active on power on, you need to activate
> Fully Single App Kiosk - How to video for 4G Model or 4G-205 Model or or 4G A12 Model
If you want your CollecTin More completely locked down, so outsiders also cannot access the Give A Little menu, please do above AND activate the Give A Little menu lock
