Micro USB Plug Damaged in SumUp Tray

If the SumUp card reader is removed and inserted incorrectly or forcibly, the micro USB plug, which goes into the SumUp Air card reader can get damaged. 

Unfortunately as this is accidental damage, rather than a manufacturing fault, it is not covered by the warranty. 
The quickest solution is to purchase the replacement cable and fit them yourself.

Below are clear instructions on how to fit the cable, but it does require technical skills. We are not be able to cover accidental damage to the unit caused by incorrect handling during the replacement of the part.

Step 1: Remove the SumUp
Video on how to remove and insert your SumUp card reader safely. 
Please use the photo below to identify if you have a Tray 1 or Tray 2 for your SumUp.

Step 2: Remove the Tablet
> Helpful tools: Flat screwdriver or back of a spoon

Step 3: Swap out the SIM cards 
> Helpful tools: Tweezers or small flat screwdriver

Step 4: Replace the Y-shaped internal charger cable
> Helpful tools: Flat screwdriver or back of a spoon or flat nosed pliers
