The below photos will help you identify if your CollecTin More is connected to mains power via a Booster Battery or a Cable for Static Installation.
Booster Battery A micro USB charger cable is connected and cane be removed from the bottom of the battery. The cable is approximately 1m in length. | USB Cable for Static Installation The cable goes directly into the mould inserted into the handle and cannot be unplugged at the edge of the handle. The cable is 3m in length. (Earliest versions had black cables and available in 1m, 3m and 5m lengths). |

The CollecTin More can be left plugged in overnight, but if plugged in permanently via a boost battery in the handle, it will cause this to eventually fail, as all lithium batteries eventually degrade after 100's of charges. If you wish to leave it permanently plugged in, we recommend using the boost battery bypass, a USB Cable for Static Installation, which replaces the boost battery. All CollecTin More models A13 (Oct 2024) and onwards should always be charged via this cable, with booster batteries charged outside of the unit.
